The Sue (Gilliland) Moore home is one of Weatherford's finest examples of a traditional "Craftsman"bungalow. Built in 1924 by Sue's Uncle Hank Shick, it was sold to Mrs. Moore, a school teacher and longtime Weatherford resident, on December 17,1958. According to the sales contract the bungalow was sold for "one dollar and love and affection."
The home boasts an inviting wraparound porch complete with porch swing and plenty of seating forfriends, family and neighbors. The interior features original hardwood floors,a charming gas fireplace, original lighting fixtures,French doors, a sturdy Craftsman-style stairway, and a full length antique pedestal tub. A combination of modern and antique design creates a charming, comfortable family home.
